Non-Bookish News:

I am really enjoying my time off work. Its been nice to be lazy! I have stayed in leggings and sweatshirts all day and it is awesome. I have gotten quite a bit of reading done too. I have also been binge re-watching Criminal Minds. I love that show!

I have had the worst stuffy nose for the past 2 weeks. It simply will not go away. I have been taking sudafed (the real kind you have to ask the pharmacist for and show your ID) and nothing is helping. Its miserable! It also makes my ears all clogged, and when you are already as hearing impaired as me, this is a MAJOR problem. Sigh. Hopefully it will get better soon. The weather here isn’t helping. Monday it was 65 degrees and then by Wednesday, it was 35. Such an Ohio thing. And I am still waiting for snow! Why is there no snow?!?

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! Did you get cool stuff? Are you ready for the New Year? Do you do resolutions? I don’t really because I lack any self discipline so it never works for me. I am trying the bookish resolution this year and I included a few personal resolutions. Maybe I will be more vigilant this year? I can only hope!

I go back to work on Wednesday and its going to be BUSY!! This is the time of year where everyone’s IEPs are due, testing is a non-stop event (ACT, State testing, ESL testing, etc), and the only break in sight is spring break, which doesn’t happen this year until April 13th! Thats so far away…

So, whats new with you this week? Did you read any of the same books I did? Did you find any great book deals I need to grab ASAP? Let me know in the comments!

  1. I am sorry you are all stuffy. My daughter has been battling the same thing and the weather is really not helping. I hope you feel better soon. It’s nice to be lazy. This weekend has been us just lumping around. It’s fantastic 🙂
Glad you are joining the Bookish Resolutions, I did ok last year. I look forward to it this year. I have some great goals I picked.

I hope you have a great week Samantha! Feel Better!

  2. Hope you feel better..but at least you can chill and relax for a few more days! Great new books and good luck on your challenges. I didn’t track any of mine last year (Big Fail) so I think that I’ll only be doing 2 this year. Bookish Resolutions and My own.

  3. Happy New Year! Hope you feel better. We had some snow but it’s all melting since the sun is out and it’s (relatively) warm today. I hear you on the weather, it fluctuates all over the place here in Michigan too. Ugh.

Good luck with your challenges! Rock Your TBR sounds like one I should be doing lol.

  4. I am so glad you are enjoying your time off from work, Samantha. I have a long weekend and am taking advantage of it. Today’s been kind of a lazy day. We’re having a Harry Potter movie marathon. I hope you are feeling better soon. I’m not feeling too great–stuffy nose that won’t stop running. I am not sure if it’s allergies or a cold. My father-in-law was visiting over Christmas and was sick. He most of his visit sleeping on our couch. I hope you had a nice Christmas and may you have a wonderful New year! Take care!

  5. Sorry about the stuffy nose, but I’m glad you’ve been enjoying your time off 🙂 It’s been kinda chilly here too, not 35, more like 65, but that’s chilly enough for me lol. Don’t worry, I don’t have any resolutions either. They just backfire anyway, better off just making goals whenever I see fit rather than waiting for a new year!
