Sweet Poison continues the Rise of the De Langes series with Tempest (the sister of Raven from Little Nightmare)

First, don’t read any more of this if you haven’t read Little Nightmare because this book really spoils the end of that one! Tempest, Raven’s sister, finds out that the previous love of her sister’s life, Louis, is in fact not dead. But, Raven is in love with Ace. So, Tempest is tasked with getting together with Louis to infiltrate the cabal he is working for that is trying to take down the 5 families. I wasn’t really a fan of the couple set up here-Tempest has to take her sister’s ex? Louis, who loved Raven, now has to be in an arranged marriage with her sister? But, the story is good-you get all the mafia twists and turns, deception, heartbreak, and more.

I’m not saying much because fans of the Eagle Elite series will want to go into this blind. This is the last book…but maybe not the last mafia story RVD writes.
