Two cups of a protective, dirty talkin’ alpha who loves his Cupcake.
One tablespoon of a sweet southern baker who loves her Sexy Sawyer, even when he’s being a hothead.
A slice of the past that shows up on their doorstep, turning their world upside down with a life-altering plea.
A dash of passion.
A pinch of heartache.
A sprinkle of hope.
Mix together in a large bowl, creating a difficult choice, a testing of one’s faith, and a man who will do anything to protect his family—even if it means accepting a decision that could result in losing the one he loves most.
Bake at 350° for a rich serving of life with a love that could withstand anything. Even the unthinkable.
A timeless recipe that is sure to fill your heart with a generous helping of sweet love.
*** This is a longer length novella that follows Sawyer and Grace’s journey after Sweet Temptation, book two in the Men of Honor series. It is told in dual POV, has an HEA, and no cliffhanger. Sweet Temptation should be read prior to this novella. It is recommended to read the other books in both the Men of Honor series and the Acts of Honor series as all the characters play recurring roles. However it’s not necessary.
Warning: Due to mature subject matter, such as explicit sexual situations and coarse language, this story is not suitable for anyone under the age of 18.

what i think

Oh I have major love for K.C. Lynn’s books. She is one of my automatic one click authors. Her Men of Honor series is SO GOOD. If you haven’t read it, you need to drop everything and read it. Now! Seriously, just do it. Call in sick to work. You will thank me later!

So, Sweet Love is the story of Sawyer and Grace a few years after their book ends. They have their adorable twins, Hope and Parker. The twins are starting 1st grade. Grace finds out that her half sister, Lucy, is dying and Grace might be her only hope of survival. If you have read the Men of Honor books, you know that Grace’s dad abandoned her and her mother so to say she is hesitant to help his daughter is an understatement. But, this is Grace. She is probably the kindest person ever. So, the book centers around her decision about whether or not she is willing to risk her life to help Lucy. Its super heartbreaking at times because you get not only Grace’s POV but Sawyers. And don’t even get me started on how the kids handle the possibility. To say I cried is to say the Nile is a creek. But, like all of Lynn’s books, its beautiful, heartbreaking, and hot. You will love getting another taste of Cupcake and Sexy Sawyer!

In case you are wondering what kind of dad Sawyer is, here is a little taste:

I already know what Hope is gonna be…A nun.

Oh, and like almost all of her books, I freaking love this cover!!!!

  • Trope: Illness, Family disfunction
  • Triggers: none

K.C. Lynn is a small town girl living in Western Canada. She grew up in a family of four children—two sisters and a brother. Her mother was the lady who baked homemade goods for everyone on the street and her father was a respected man who worked in the RCMP. He’s since retired and now works for the criminal justice system. This being one of the things that inspires K.C. to write romantic suspense about the trials and triumphs of our heroes.

K.C. married her high school sweetheart and they started a big family of their own—two adorable girls and a set of handsome twin boys. They still reside in the same small town but K.C.’s heart has always longed for the south, where everyone says ‘y’all’ and eats biscuits and gravy for breakfast.

It was her love for romance books that gave K.C. the courage to sit down and write her own novel. It was then a beautiful world opened up and she found what she was meant to do…write.

When K.C.’s not spending time with her beautiful family she can be found in her writing cave, living in the fabulous minds of her characters and their stories.
