The Rise of the De Langes
Little Nightmare is the story of Raven Alfero and Ace DeLange. They have a love/hate relationship for sure. Raven professed her love as a teen and Ace rebuffed her HARD. Now, years later, he is her bodyguard and she is still pissed.
Raven is mourning the death of her last bodyguard, who was also her lover. Ace has now been assigned as her bodyguard-mostly because no one else would put up with Raven. She has a mouth that cuts lesser men down, but Ace is ready. Its his penance after all. These two are forced to spend every moment together, hating each other. But its a thin line between love and hate right? I loved Raven and Ace. They each have their own reasons for their behavior, but it all comes from being hurt by others. Raven protects herself by being cold and harsh and Ace protects himself by being emotionless.
I don’t want to spoil anything, so I am keeping it vague. I love this series so much. You can totally read this as a stand alone, but Van Dyken’s Eagle Elite and its spin offs are all amazing!
