Sterling and Ruthie have more things in common than they realize, even though from the outside it doesn’t seem like they do.
Sterling is a decorated war hero.
Ruthie is an ex-con.
Their two worlds should’ve never collided, but fate has a way of turning life in the direction least expected. Now Ruthie has to try to come to terms with the fact that she’s in love with a biker who’s also a decorated Navy SEAL. One who leaves for months at a time with little to no advance warning, taking her heart with him each time he goes.
Sterling has a lot of things to overcome in order to have Ruthie, the biggest being her mind.
She doesn’t think she’s good enough.
He thinks she’s perfect.
Now it’s up to him to show her just how right he can be.
Right to My Wrong
Lani Lynn Vale
I really almost gave up on Right to my Wrong like 10 times. But, then I wanted to see if he would get his shit together and stop treating her poorly. They had sex, then he gets broody and lets some bar skank hang on him!?!? He just ups and leaves multiple times without a word, then doesn’t say a thing when he comes back from a mission. She doesn’t even know he is home at one point! Ugh. I get it-he doesn’t like sharing but come on. You don’t get to treat the person you love like they are less than important because you don’t like talking about your feelings. Thats some serious bs. I must have made 4-5 notes on my kindle as I was reading about his piss poor treatment of her. It really got under my skin because he was either HOT or frozen. It was enough to give you whiplash.
So, you’re probably wondering why I didn’t quit Right to my Wrong. Why did I give it 3 stars even? Bottom line, I finished the book. I cared enough to want to know how it ended and I think that speaks volumes about a book. I think Sterling will go down as one of my least favorite heroes of all Lani’s books, and I could take or leave Ruthie, but the plot was interesting, the secondary characters are good, and the writing is solid. For all that, this was still a 3 star book for me even though it made me want to throw my kindle!
